Checked in and no seat!?

Well, I've checked in and am currently residing outside gate 41 in B terminal at IAD. They informed me at check-in that I don't have a seat. However, this means that there is now a non-zero chance I'll end up in business or first class (or potentially even riding shotgun with the pilot). I'll let you know how it all turns out. I don't want to get too excited about it, but this trip could start out really well!
